Instrumentation Calibration
According to most OEM specifications, it’s recommended to perform instrumentation calibration semi-annually. However, our experience shows that many users only calibrate their instruments every 5 to 10 years, or even less frequently.
The instruments related to your equipment package (such as pressure transmitters and switches, valves, temperature transmitters and switches, vibration sensors, etc.) are crucial for protecting your equipment. All alarms and shutdowns generated by the control system are triggered by these instruments. If one of these instruments is not functioning correctly, your equipment could be at risk without you even realizing it.
Over time, instruments can fall out of calibration or even stop functioning altogether.
Before the actual calibration begins, TKS PRO will provide a site-specific recommendation on all your instrumentation and necessary checks, based on your P&ID diagrams. We will then bring all the required equipment to your site, perform the checks, adjust the instruments as needed, and verify the signals from the instruments to the control system. After completing all calibrations and checks, we will provide you with comprehensive reports, including your instrument certifications.
